Goldy Mortan, DVM

I’m Dr. Mortan, and I’m so excited to be joining the amazing team at Willowood Acres Veterinary Clinic! My love for animals began at a very young age. My father worked as a rural large animal veterinarian, so I grew up surrounded by the sights, sounds, and stories of veterinary medicine. Watching him care for animals of all shapes and sizes sparked my curiosity and admiration  and I always thought of this profession as the absolute coolest. Even as a kid, I was the one feeding stray cats, rescuing puppies, and helping any animal in need. Those early experiences shaped who I am today and inspired me to dedicate my life to caring for animals.

Now, as a veterinarian, I’m committed to providing compassionate, thorough, and individualized care for every patient I see. My professional interests include preventive medicine, routine sterilization surgeries, and dental care, because I believe prevention and early intervention are the keys to helping pets live their best lives. I’m also passionate about continuing to grow my skills in soft tissue surgery and veterinary ultrasound so I can offer an even broader range of care. I love partnering with pet parents through education, empowering them to make the best choices for their companions.

Outside of work, I share my home with my dog, Bruno, and my cat, Boo, who keep me laughing and remind me daily why I chose this career. I also enjoy exploring new places, spending time with animals, and staying up to date on the latest advancements in veterinary medicine.
